We’ve set today aside to remember all the women and men who have died over the centuries protecting their family, friends and country, We remember and honor you. It’s also a great day to say thank you to all of our veterans who live daily with the responsibility and memories of protecting what is dear.
We have four sons who have served, or are serving, in the military. (see Veterans’ Day 2013) Fathers, Grandfathers, Uncles, Brothers and Sisters. We have dear friends and acquaintances who have sacrificed their safety, health and even lives in the military and diplomatic services (you don’t really think Diplomacy is all James Bond-type cocktail parties, do you?) It always makes them feel loved and appreciated when anyone thanks them personally for their service. It helps ease them in their sacrifice.
